virtual art gallery 2023

We created this virtual art & poetry exhibition to mark White Ribbon Day 2023.

Lots of the survivors we support use poetry and art to symbolise hope and new beginnings, as well as to express difficult emotions such as confusion, anger and sadness.

Congratulations to our five competition winners!

Thank you so much to everyone who entered our White Ribbon Day poetry & art competition. Please take your time browsing the poetry & art exhibitions below.

We hope these entries will inspire you to pick up the tools you need: pen & pad, brush & canvas – or something else – to express your emotions as part of your recovery journey.

Trigger warning: survivors use poetry to help process difficult feelings, so naturally many of our poems contain references to emotional, physical, sexual and other forms of trauma and abuse that some readers may find triggering.

If you’ve been affected by domestic abuse, perhaps this will help you discover a new way to cope with your thoughts and feelings? It doesn’t matter whether you’re a total beginner or an accomplished artist – anyone can have a go.
